About Ruben Sabater.
FOUNDER
With over three decades of hands-on leadership in luxury hospitality and property operations, Ruben Sabater is a seasoned expert dedicated to elevating standards, optimizing performance, and ensuring operational excellence across high-end hotels and condominiums.
Ruben’s career began in the engineering department at Boston’s historic Park Plaza Hotel, where his commitment and expertise propelled him to the role of engineering supervisor. In 2002, he relocated to Miami to take on a leadership position at the prestigious Mandarin Oriental Resort & Spa. There, he advanced to Executive Director of Engineering, playing a pivotal role in the brand’s Safe and Sound program—focusing on property safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
After a successful decade at Mandarin Oriental, Ruben joined Benchmark Hospitality International (now Pyramid Global Hospitality) as Executive Director of Operations and Facilities at One Bal Harbor. He quickly rose to become Director of Operations and later General Manager of Marenas Beach Resort in Sunny Isles, Florida, expanding his leadership across all hotel operations and functions.
In the wake of the pandemic, Ruben transitioned into a corporate role as a Regional Task Force Operator. Traveling among Benchmark-managed properties, where he conducted operational audits, identified procedural gaps, and led cross-departmental improvements to ensure properties met brand and regulatory standards.
Today, Ruben has founded SabaSolutions Consulting to bring his wealth of experience directly to luxury hotels and condominiums. His mission is clear: to uncover operational weaknesses, refine processes, streamline teams, and help properties achieve the highest standards of performance and safety. Ruben’s hands-on, practical approach transforms challenges into competitive advantages, making him a trusted partner for properties striving for excellence.
